13th March 2008 Owls to defend cup title: The Owls will defend their County Cup title at Stocksbridge Park Steels on Sunday when they tackle the Doncaster Rovers Belles KO 2pm. The Owls upset the Belles winning run in the competition when they defeated the National Division side 1-0 in a keenly fought contest which proved to be one of previous boss Christine McCann's last games in charge. Dan Duke has built on the side he inherited and the Owls find themselves yet again contesting the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Cup final against their close rivals. "I'm really looking forward to this match, it's my first major final as a manager and I really am optimistic we can defend our title. We've built on what we achieved last year and I feel we have a stronger side than last season as well.
